A Floral Greeting from Israel’s Stark Beauty
Signs of life can be found everywhere, and God is at work even in situations that may seem impossible. The first three photos bring a blooming greeting from the surroundings of the Sarigim house in May 2026. Ruut also took part in a flower-arranging course — what a beautiful result: There is an abundance of harvest and rugged beauty in the area around the Sarigim house. A Calling That Doesn't Depend on the Temperature
43 degrees Celsius on the 18th of May Refreshing Greetings from Sahne ("hot" in Arabic), located in the Valley of Springs! The water temperature here remains around 28°C (82°F) throughout the year. In Hebrew, the site is called Gan HaShlosha ("Park of the Three"), as it was established in memory of three Jewish pioneers who were killed by a landmine in 1938 while searching the area for a suitable location to establish a new kibbutz. This place has a long history stretching ba

Supporting the Villages and Cities of Israel
A brief contemporary history note is appropriate here. Please note that this is not a political statement. In 2005, under the leadership of Ariel Sharon, Israel carried out a unilateral disengagement operation from 18 Israeli communities in Gaza and 4 Israeli communities in northern Samaria. As a result, both Gaza and northern Samaria became areas increasingly taken over by Palestinian terrorist organizations, from which attacks against Israel have been launched for more than

Joyful Greetings from Volunteer Work
What a wonderful breath of help it was when a friend from America, whom I (Ruut) have known for nearly twenty years, came to spend four days working alongside me. Everything became easier and more enjoyable, and my shoulders relaxed simply from the joy of having support. Together we managed to unload, sort, and distribute an enormous shipment of clothing. Both washing machines were running constantly, the guest rooms were cleaned and organized, and we even completed a major c

The Beginning of the Sarigim
Ruut reflects here on how humanitarian work in Israel first began. About 30 years ago, I was visiting Jerusalem. Someone gave me some new, high-quality baby clothes from Finland and said, “Pass these on to someone who needs them”. During that same visit, I met a couple, who distributed clothing and food in Israel for decades. A fruitful partnership with them began and continued for nearly twenty years. I took those baby clothes with me to my hometown and noticed a woman who w

Late-autumn updates 2025
The work of the Sarigim charity continues and moves forward. In recent weeks, several international groups of various nationalities, individual visitors, and even a few Israelis have visited Roi moshav. Many of them have enthusiastically committed themselves to supporting the work in different ways. New songs have also emerged. One of them sings: “On the mountains of Samaria, your wings rise in the wind.” Take a look at this video as well. At the beginning of November 2025,

On a Journey in Israel
In early October, Sarigim (Ruut) traveled along the Gaza border and in Jerusalem with a group from Asia. Sarigim and the group at the Gaza border During these trips, participants meet and bless local residents in tangible ways, sharing both their joys and their sorrows. The group also met Jewish evacuee friends who shared their personal stories of survival. The time spent in Roi Moshav played a meaningful role in helping them through their experiences. The Asian group bringin

Sarigim
We are a non-profit organization in Israel devoted to support people from various backgrounds, helping needy ones during challenging times.
We want to be a safe shelter for people
who need hope and encouragement in their life situation.
In times we host and
feed people, we share food and clothing.
As well we want to be a place of peace, and
we want to emphasis Biblical values, love, care and morality in this darkening world.
