Supporting the Villages and Cities of Israel

A brief contemporary history note is appropriate here. Please note that this is not a political statement.

In 2005, under the leadership of Ariel Sharon, Israel carried out a unilateral disengagement operation from 18 Israeli communities in Gaza and 4 Israeli communities in northern Samaria. As a result, both Gaza and northern Samaria became areas increasingly taken over by Palestinian terrorist organizations, from which attacks against Israel have been launched for more than twenty years. The operation was called "Tochnit Hitnatkut" in Hebrew, meaning "The Disengagement Plan."

On May 29, 2026, the Israeli parliament approved a plan for 18 new Jewish communities in the Samaria region. Four of these are communities that were evacuated in 2005, while fourteen are entirely new. All of these communities are to be established in Area C, the part of the West Bank designated under the Oslo Accords as being under Israeli administration. This project is called "Tochnit Hitchabrut", meaning "The Connection Plan" or "The Reconnection Plan."

We are praying for the success of this new initiative and, more broadly, for the villages and cities throughout the Samaria region — for both Jewish and Arab communities, including Israeli and Palestinian populations. 🙏🏻 Prayer groups focused on standing in the gap for Samaria are gradually being established in various countries, including Finland and even South Africa.

Now is the time to stand in the gap, as we are living through challenging times. Please feel free to get in touch if this topic resonates with your heart.
